Games With Gold May 2022 Predictions – Microsoft Confirms Competing Xbox Subscription Titles

Microsoft will confirm that Games with gold Lineup for May 2022 next week, with plans already in place Xbox Game Pass next month.

Xbox Live Gold Subscribers are guaranteed four free games as part of their ongoing membership, although they’re not expected to compete with the tech giant’s much larger service.

But with more titles set to be added to Games with Gold over the next month, here’s what we know about Microsoft’s subscription plans.

Game with Gold predictions for May 2022

No leaks have surfaced yet on what’s next for Games with Gold in May, meaning we can only make some predictions. Microsoft saves its biggest partnerships for Xbox Game Pass, the downloadable library that has proven to be a very popular combination with the Xbox Series X.

As such, Games with Gold typically features smaller games, sometimes drawn from the indie genre. And with little chance of the next-gen being added exclusively, it seems a lot more likely that we’ll see titles like Little Town Hero or Giga Wrecker atop titles like The Medium.

Microsoft sometimes adds optimized Xbox Series X games, but that hasn’t happened yet in 2022. The tech giant could always surprise Games With Gold with a few surprises by providing some titles from its own library, although they are already included in Xbox Game Pass. Also of note is that Bethesda and Activision titles could be shared in the same way in the future.

Last year’s gold collection for May had some crisp inclusions, with Dungeons 3, Lego Batman and Tropico 4 offering some great gameplay options. By now we already know that there will be some interesting games making their debut on Game Pass. Loot River, Citizen Sleeper, Trek to Yomi, Eiyuden Chronicle Rising, Headspace Shipbreaker, Sniper Elite 5, and Pac-Man Museum+ will be released with Xbox Game Pass.
