Actress Garcelle Beauvais has starred in the hit Bravo series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the tenth season. during one April 2022 appearance in the podcast “Las Culturistas”., co-hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, Beauvais spoke about a brief relationship with Will Smith, who was married to fellow RHOBH co-star Sheree Zampino until four episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1995. The 55-year-old also clarified that she started casually seeing the ‘King Richard’ star following his divorce from Zampino, the mother of his eldest child Trey Smith.

“I was naive, he was single and a TV star, so we went out a few times, it wasn’t a long-term relationship,” Beauvais explained.

She then shared that she stopped dating Smith when he saw his now-wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

“I remember phoning him one day and he was in the car and his son was in the back with Sheree. You know, he picked up the car or Bluetooth or whatever it was back then or the speakerphone, whatever it was and he said, “Hey, how are you?” And I said, ‘I’m great.’ I heard that little voice in the background saying, ‘Is that Miss Jada?’ And that’s when I thought, okay, I’m not the only one who left the stage,” said the Bravo star.

The mother-of-three then explained why she chose not to fight for a serious relationship with Smith.

“If a kid knows someone, that person is a little bit more important,” Beauvais said.

While recording the podcast episode “Las Culturistas,” Beauvais shared that she enjoyed having Zampino as “the girlfriend of” on the upcoming season of “RHOBH.” She explained that she feels more comfortable starring with someone who is also a black woman.

“It was great and it’s so funny because when she comes in she’s like, ‘Did you call me for backup?’ It was great… It’s just nice not to be the only one in the room, it’s nice to have someone I know who has my back,” Beauvais said.

Sheree Zampino celebrates Will Smith’s Oscar win

Zampino gained weight Instagram to celebrate Smith after he wins the Oscar for best actor at the Oscars 2022. The photo, uploaded on March 28, showed her with her ex-husband, who was holding his Oscar in his hand.

“Epic night! Congratulations again – if 1 wins, we all win! #family1st,” reads the caption of the post.

Before partying with Smith, Zampino attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party with her “RHOBH” co-stars. When speaking to Extra TV in March 2022, her castmate Kyle Richards shared Zampino’s reaction to Smith slapping Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. The Girls Trip actress decided to shave her hair as she suffers from alopecia.

“[Zampino] skedadded, she’s gone, she’s hanging it up with him and the family tonight,” Richards said.

The mother-of-four then shared her take on Smith’s behavior.

“It was a bit disappointing to be honest because I just wanted him to win and be happy to go away and be proud so I was a bit disappointed I’m not going to lie,” said the “Halloween” actress.
