Liverpool hero Mohamed Salah was back at his best against Manchester United with even Gary Neville raving about his performance.

Liverpool have embarrassed United for the second time this season with another big win.

After beating United 5-0 at Old Trafford in October, Liverpool clinched another big win against their old rivals.

Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah had led Liverpool 2-0 before half-time. Sadio Mane made it 3-0 and Salah added the number four to round off a perfect evening.

Liverpool continue their drive for a stunning quadruple this season and having Salah shoot back again is a huge boost.

Ahead of Tuesday’s game against United, Salah had not scored a goal without penalties in more than two months in the Premier League.

Some worried about Salah’s form. With the contract uncertainty hanging over him and the fatigue that comes with playing in the Africa Cup of Nations, a retirement was understandable.

However, Salah was back at his best against United, starting with a run and an assist for Diaz’s goal.

Salah then scored two signature finishes to seal the game and secured a 4-0 win for Liverpool in style.

Liverpool are now hoping Salah can use this game as a platform to go on a goalscoring streak by the end of the season.

After all, Salah firing on all cylinders makes Liverpool’s quadruple dream all the more likely.

After scoring Liverpool’s fourth goal, Salah received tremendous praise from pundit Gary Neville.

Talking to Sky Sports (04/19, 21:45) Neville suggested that you should just get Salah to end any chance, no matter how difficult.

Neville added that Salah looked absolutely ‘classy’ from the first whistle against United – and that stayed until the final whistle.

“He’s still got a little work to do, Salah, but you’re just into him,” Neville said. “He looked classy from the first minute tonight,” he added.
