Gas prices in Pennsylvania continue to fall when people go on vacation

Gas prices averaged $3.18 per gallon this week, down from the previous week, according to AAA gas price data. Gas prices are highest this week in Pennsylvania, as well as the Rocky Mountain and West Coast states, including California, Idaho and Washington.

And while prices have fallen from June’s highs to levels seen a year ago, the world is preparing for prices to rise in the New Year.

Markets are divided on whether an economic slowdown will reduce demand for gas in the coming months or whether China’s easing of Covid-19 restrictions could weigh on global supplies with increased demand.

forklift compiled statistics on gas prices in Pennsylvania. Gas prices are from December 16th. State gas tax data is from Retrospective of the world population.
