Gas prices in Pennsylvania continue to rise

(Stacker) – Americans are seeing prices at the pump that look very similar – if not cheaper – to what they were a year ago before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Gas prices have been falling across all states overall since June 2022, when they peaked at about $5 on average. Analysts believe prices could stay lower until the spring break or China’s Covid-19 reopening will boost travel demand.

“Oil prices have staged a small rally, closing back at almost $80 a barrel last week as Chinese demand is starting to rise as expected, but with Covid cases and deaths now also rising in China, the surge in demand may be short-lived be,” GasBuddy analyst Patrick De Haan said in a statement.
