It’s time to head over to Al Mazrah and try out the new DMZ mode in COD Warzone 2.0.

Today Activision made the new iteration of Call of Duty’s popular free-to-play battle royale mode Warzone available to everyone.

Although the mode was scheduled to start at 10:00am PST, it went live about 40 minutes earlier. It might not be a massive push, but it’s certainly better than nothing, especially considering how many fans have feasted on the track.

In addition to the core Warzone 2.0 Battle Royale playlists, players can enjoy the brand new DMZ mode that offers a whole new experience.

Specifically, players can participate in this 66-person open-world experience by setting their own goals in semi-freeform, accepting goals from three different factions that can level up, accepting and unlocking contracts for extra experience, and exploring locked areas after Prey.

Of course, daring players can still pursue and loot other operators she instead, while others choose to play it safe and focus on the AI until they can achieve their exfiltration.

Another new feature is the third-person playlist, which lets you enjoy the game while the camera is locked behind your operator. You can even choose to aim over the left or right shoulder, adding a new dimension to the Warzone experience.

The Gulag has also changed, now focusing on a duo experience that even includes a prison guard NPC to add excitement and speed things up. Players can either try to eliminate the other duo or team up to kill the jailer so everyone gets away scot-free.

All you have to do is Warzone for PC, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PS5 or PS4 for free and see if you can survive the dangers of Al Mazrah, whether it’s attacked by other players or by the AI.

In case you miss the old Warzone, it will come back as Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera as a separate experience on November 28th at 10am PST.
