Fireworks and boss fights will highlight Genshin Impact’s 2022 Lantern Festival event, called Color Transient in Flight. There will be plenty of quests to complete, with great rewards on offer for players including two new Lantern Rite skins to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

The events of Genshin Impact’s Lantern Rite are huge, and Fleeting Colors in Flight is no exception.

Genshin Impact Glimpse of color during the flight event start day

Genshin Impact Color transient event in flight will rerun later Version 2.4 update, due to release on January 5, 2022. It officially went into operation January 25, 2022 and run until February 12, 2022.

This gives the player some time to Scroll on the original banner in the 2.4 update – including the release both Shenhe and Yun Jin, two new Liyue characters.

Genshin Impact Flashing colors in flight missions & rewards

Flameplume Starflowers will have threaded players Their inner Yoimiya by creating fireworks. Smell them perfectly and you’ll earn bonuses like Primogems and Affluence Talismans – which you can cash out for event rewards.

Setting off fireworks is like cooking food in Genshin Impact, but you’ll have to tweak your technique to get the perfect results.

The festival begins with Wondrous Shadows, where you have to solve Shadow Lantern puzzles by adjusting its position to match the given pattern.

However, it is not all game and fun. The Great Collecting Quest will have you battling enemies in the waves to help rebuild the Gem Chamber, while Guardians of the Ocean will see you take on a new boss. These two quests will give you Conquest Talismans, which you can exchange for Upgrade Materials as well as the Crown of Insight.

The new Hydro Boss in the Lantern Rite event looks really scary.

Lantern Rite Login Bonus

Genshin Impact players will also be rewarded with not one but two login promotions during the Lantern Festival.

The Find Lucky Friend login event gives you up to a week’s worth of rewards, including Fate, Mora, and mixed experience.

There are also time-sensitive Lantern and Mellow Gifts available, starting right after the Lunar New Year begins. Players can earn rewards throughout February such as Fragile Resin and Intertwined Fates.

These rewards will be redeemable until the end of the Version 2.4 update, which is currently locked to February 15, 2022.

Da Ningguang & Keqing Lantern Rite

Ningguang and Keqing are getting special skins for the Lantern Rite event, celebrating the Lunar New Year.

Ningguang’s skin is known as the Orchid Evening Gown, with Liyue Qixing’s Tianquan donning the elegant purple dress – with her Geo Vision clearly visible at the hips. It will be made available for free by completing the quest “The Moon’s Comely Brow” during the Fleeting Colors in Flight event.

Keqing’s skin, Op Lux Splendor, will be behind a fee wall in the Character Outfit Shop. However, Yuheng’s dark blue skin will be discounted during the Lantern Rite event for 1,350 Genesis Crystals. It will cost 1,680 Genesis Crystals after the event.

How to get free Genshin Impact characters in Lantern Rite . event

There is one final big bonus for Genshin Impact players during the Lantern Rite event in Fleeting Colors in Flight: free characters.

Players can redeem one of the following four-star characters for free by completing quests and redeeming Charms in the “Prosperous Partner” shop.

• Beidou
• Chongyun
• Ningguang
• Xiangling
• Xingqiu
• Xinyan
• Yanfei
• Yun Jin

You can get a Liyue four-star character for free during the Lantern Festival.

Here’s your chance to get your hands on the newly launched Yun Jin, or perhaps add a constellation to one of your existing favorites.
