Genshin Impact will allow players to start quick start events in version 2.6, reducing the required quest requirements

Genshin Impact updates are carefully crafted to be sequential, meaning events are always released to align with Teyvat’s current timeline. For example, Inazuma was first introduced as a self-contained Eternal Nation – but the release of Raiden Shogun’s second story quest nullified the Sakoku Decree, allowing version 2.6’s upcoming Irodori Festival to take place.

While this has kept the Teyvat storyline flowing, it has been incredibly frustrating for new players, who often have to cram up a multitude of quests in order to participate in the new events. But a new feature called Quick launch button will put an end to the story quest frenzy.

This change will be a huge quality of life improvement for new players as they no longer have to feel left out of all the new events. The change is expected to impact future updates and reduce the burden of story quests on the overall fun of the game.
