The New York Giants suffered three injuries in a matter of minutes in the second quarter against the Chicago Bears in Week 4.
First, right-back Mark Glowinski left the game with an ankle injury and the team announced his return was in doubt.
Then two players were injured in the same game. Cornerback Aaron Robinson was down after being hit by a Bears offensive lineman. Safety Julian Love was also injured and sent to the medical tent.
We will keep you updated on any injury as well as the status of Glowinski and Love.
Glowinski returned at the end of the second quarter and resumed his duties as right guard.
Another setback for Robinson
Robinson returned in Week 4 after missing the last two games while recovering from having his appendix removed. The 2021 third-round pick started in the season opener with the Tennessee Titans.
The 23-year-old made just nine appearances in his rookie season but also made two starts. Due to a foot injury, he dropped out in the first half of the season.
throughout the season, Robinson improved in all areas. He finished the year with a total of 26 tackles, three passes defended and a quarterback hit.
Still, there were concerns that Robinson from the 2021 third round could take second after James Bradberry’s departure last offseason. Bradberry eventually signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, leaving a large void alongside Jackson.
In the 2022 preseason, Robinson often showed vulnerability during training camp and in the preseason when opposing quarterbacks targeted him. Robinson showed promise in Week 1, recording five tackles (four solo) and one pass defense. He received a respectable score of 73.4 from Pro Football Focus.
With Robinson out for Week 4, there’s now even more uncertainty for the second-year defender.
