SAN FRANCISCO – The Golden State Warriors are listing star Stephen Curry as “likely” to attend the first game of their series against the Denver Nuggets.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said: “We expect him to play. “We’ll see how he feels tomorrow.”
Whether Curry returns on Saturday or later in the series, he will start in a one-minute time limit. What exactly that looks like remains to be determined. What Kerr knows, though, is that “he didn’t play 38 minutes.”
“We are planning to play him if all goes well,” Kerr said. “We’ll bring him along slowly.”
Everything up to this point has shown that Curry’s rehabilitation and injury from sprains and bone bruises in his left foot have gone smoothly, but Kerr has delayed the final decision for Curry. and the team’s coaching staff.
“We expect him to play tomorrow,” Kerr said. “I will speak to the coaching staff every day to see how he reacts and we will act accordingly.”
