GOP congressman, 3 others killed in car crash

Representative Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) And three others died in a car crash in Indiana.

Erica Finke, a reporter for WSBT, tweeted on Wednesday, “US Congressman Jackie Walorski (R-Indiana) was killed in a crash that occurred at 12:32pm in Elkhart County on SR 19 east male SR 119″.

“A bus going north went to the left of the center and collided head-on with a bus going south. Walorski, Zachary Potts with the St. Joseph, and Walorski’s companion. director Emma Thompson has both passed away,” she continued.

Finke more that the driver of the northbound car was also killed in the crash.

In a statement, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, “Dean Swihart, Jackie’s husband, has just been informed by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s office that Jackie has been killed in an incident. car accident this afternoon.”

“She went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” he continued. “Keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. We will have no further comment at this time.”

In a statement, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office said, “The Elkhart County Coroner’s Office and the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office are conducting investigations.”
