Dirty casting or professional career in Dota 2 possible?
After reaching the Immortal rank, questions arise about Grubby’s future in professional Dota 2.
No, we don’t immediately think Grubby will turn pro. More in the sense of a casting or as a desk moderator for Dota 2 events. However, it is not out of the question that he will try his hand at being a professional player.
He visited N0tail in Portugal for The International 2023 and had active discussions on the stream, which suggested greater interest in pursuing Dota 2 at a higher level.
Grubby is also very interested in playing with Janne.Gorgc“Stefanovski, which means there could be competitive games at the amateur level. Gorgc currently plays for Team Bald Reborn on a first-come, first-served basis, so there’s a chance Grubby could get an invite from Gorgc one day. He even expressed his hope of being able to play as a supporter on Gorgc’s team without being fired.

Grubby’s unique abilities are a perfect fit for Dota 2
Grubby’s expertise honed in Warcraft 3 was an advantage in Dota 2, particularly his skills with micro-heavy heroes. He handles complex heroes with ease and it has helped him advance to the Immortal rank much faster. It remains to be seen whether Grubby will move up the ranks and aim for a 10K or 12K.
Ultimately, it’s all a good addition to a Dota 2 scene that really needs “fresh” talent, whether he chooses a casting career or continues to excel in streaming and content creation. If none of that happens, his achievements in Dota 2 will at least add an impressive chapter to his already remarkable esports legacy.
