When Drake promoted the track earlier this week, he included it Instagram to share a photo of Halle getting slimmed down at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. He enlarged the snapshot and added a “Parental Advisory” warning in the bottom right corner. Check it out (below):
The promotional image makes sense since the song contains references to the awards show, including the lyric “I’m slimin’ you for them kid choices you made.” But here’s the problem – it turns out that Halle never gave Drake permission decided to use the photo of her for the cover of the song, so now she’s not happy with him! She got down to business after the song’s release, posting a pink square with the words:
“Sometimes you have to be the bigger one… even if you’re a woman!”
When a fan asked “what she thought about Drake using that picture of you on his single,” the 57-year-old actress made it clear she was disappointed:
“Didn’t get my permission. That’s not cool, I changed my mind! hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on!”
Good Lord. Clearly she’s upset about the photo!
