Andie MacDowell will present an award during the ceremony
MacDowell was given the special honor of being one of the presenters during the Oscars. She was one of the last 12 presenters to be announced on Thursday GoldDerby reported.
She will join Halle Berry, Mindy Kaling, Eva Longoria, Pedro Pascal, John Travolta, Kate Hudson, Harrison Ford, Paul Dano, Cara Delevingne, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Elizabeth Olsen.
Due to the controversy last year when he slapped Chris Rock onstage, Will Smith will not be continuing the tradition of the previous year’s Leading Actor presenting the new award to the Leading Actress recipient. The LA Times reported. Because of this change, the Oscars had to reconsider the awards ceremony in 2023.
Oscars co-producer Ricky Kirshner told the LA Times, “We rethought the show and tailored the hosts to make sense for the category, and you’ll see it Sunday night.”
In which category MacDowell will present an award along with the other presenters is not yet known at the time of publication of this article.
MacDowell says she’s very comfortable with her gray hair
in a (n Interview with ET Online, MacDowell shared how much she enjoys her gray hair. She said she stopped coloring it during the pandemic and is really enjoying it now.
“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while,” she told ET Online. “And I’m really comfortable with where I am in my life right now. I just want to embrace the times I’m in and be as real and honest as possible, not just with everyone else but with myself.”
She also has a wellness routine that includes staying active with activities like hiking and yoga, eating a healthy diet, and trying to get a good night’s sleep. She said she indulged herself like chocolate.
MacDowell plays Del Landry in Hallmark’s new series The Way Home. The series has just been renewed for a second season.
in a (n Interview with PreventionMacDowell said the portrayal of her younger self in 1999 was a little scary.
“It was a bit scary because I’m an older woman,” she said. “And we did some stuff with makeup and I’m wearing a wig and everything, and they use a Hustle Blend lens, which is a portrait lens that’s kind of a diffuse, matte — there was a kind of magical feel.”
She said she also needed to consider how her body language would change over the years and depict those changes in her younger self versus her older self.
Recently, a clothing line announced the return of an iconic item that mirrored a piece MacDowell wore to the 1997 premiere of her film Michael.
In addition, her film My Happy Ending premiered in US theaters on February 24. The film is about a Hollywood actress who goes into hiding in search of medical treatment and meets three unique women during her hospital stay.
