After years of development hell, the long-touted live-action adaptation of the Halo video game series is finally a reality, releasing with a bang on March 24, 2022 on Paramount+.

The series introduces fans to the 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alliance of alien races known as the Covenant.

Two episodes of the series have now been released, giving the series’ characters a foothold in this epic space adventure.

However, with the arrival of Chapter 2, Halo fans are already turning their attention to Episode 3 and what the next installment will entail.

Halo Episode 2 recap [spoilers]

Episode 2 of the Halo TV series exploded on Thursday March 31, 2022 on Paramount+.

Titled UnboundThe episode ties into the events of Episode 1 when the Master Chief and Kwan Ha Boo escape the UNSC after discovering a mysterious relic somehow connected to the Chief’s childhood.

Flashbacks show a young Chief, John-117, during his days at the facility inducting child Spartans into the program when he allows one of his comrades, Soren-066, to escape.

Seeking answers in the present, Master Chief and Kwan arrive at a secret insurgent community led by none other than Soren, who introduces Chief to a man who has been kidnapped and interrogated by the Alliance, and although traumatized, he helps the Master Chief to learn more about the meaning of the mysterious relic.

The episode ends with the Master Chief flying back to space, leaving Kwan in the care of Soren as he prepares to surrender to the UNSC, believing humanity needs to know what he has learned.


Halo Episode 3 Release Date and Storyline Preview

Episode 3 of the Halo series will be released on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 on Paramount+.

Fans who want to watch the new episode as soon as possible can do so starting at midnight Pacific time in the US, which also means 3 a.m. Eastern time.

Unlike the first two episodes of the series, Episode 3’s title was not revealed prior to its release, meaning fans won’t know the episode’s name until it hits Paramount+.

After the Master Chief handed himself back to the UNSC in Episode 2, it looks like Episode 3 will give us the Chief’s first meeting with Cortana, the AI ​​that Dr. Catherine Halsey has been working to control and improve Spartans after the Chief explained how bad the situation was getting.

Elsewhere in Episode 2, Alliance human ally Makee vowed to reclaim the mysterious relic from the UNSC and hinted that she may lead an attack in the near future, something teased in the series’ trailers.


How many episodes in total?

Season 1 of the TV series Halo consists of a total of nine episodes.

As we saw in the first few chapters of the show, episodes are released weekly on Thursdays.

That means the season will continue each week until the finale falls on May 19th.

Beyond the inaugural season of Halo, the future looks bright for the TV adaptation, with a second season already commissioned and the announcement coming on February 15, more than a month before the series begins.


The Halo TV series is available to stream now Outstanding+ in the US upon release on March 24, 2022.
