Halo Infinite pro Snip3down calls for big changes to ‘broken’ Mangler

FaZe Clan Halo Infinite pro Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona is leading the way, requesting a major change to one of the game’s most broken guns: the Mangler.

Halo Infinite has a lot powerful weapon in the game, but no game is emphasized as much as Mangler.

In HCS Raleigh, the Cloud 9 champions, as well as FaZe and others, all prioritize Mangler spawning and ensuring control of the pistol.

Now, Snip3down and many other experts are calling on 343 Industries to change Mangler and make it less oppressive.

Halo Infinite pro calls for Mangler nerf

The revolver of the future holds eight rounds with four in reserve, but that’s not the biggest problem. The gun only needs to be fired twice to break Spartan’s shield, which can be combined with melee or Battle Rifle firing for maximum damage.

On top of that, it spawns on the map every 30 seconds. So between the timer and the ammo count, it feels like Mangler is always wreaking havoc on the map.

Snip3down and others recommend that 343 reduce the amount of ammo the gun holds, as well as put it on the same timer as other weapons and power items.

OpTic Gaming expert Tommy ‘Lucid’ Wilson concurred, agreeing with player FaZe that Mangler needs to be nerfed in upcoming patches.

The sole concern for these professionals is to relay this information to the development team. Snip3down states that they “used to have a way to voice these concerns.” However, in Halo Infinite there still seems to be a lack of communication between players and developers.

Halo Esports leads at 343, Tashi.

The North American event, HCS Anaheim, is kicking off on February 11, so if there’s a major update, players will expect it to come out before that.
