Hamlen Homes goes under: Perth developer collapses after village project in East Victoria Park

The construction downturn has claimed another victim after a Perth construction firm collapsed, leaving behind a $50 million ‘urban village’ and several unfinished homes.
Western Australian builder Hamlen Homes, also known as Metro Homes WA Pty Ltd, was the latest company to default on Monday.
According to The West Australian, WA Insolvency Solutions has been appointed administrator of the company.
Hamlen Homes received approval to develop a US$50 million urban village in Perth’s East Victoria Park called East & Co prior to the company’s collapse.
