Hard Rock Atlantic City Workers, Casino Operator Access to Employment Agreement

Atlantic City casino workers have reached a tentative agreement with Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos, preventing a strike that could begin this weekend, July 4, according to the union.

Unite Here Local 54 union organizers said their negotiating committee approved the deal on Saturday — details of the deal were not disclosed — and soon all workers will be union will be able to vote on it. About 1,500 casino workers, who are demanding a pay rise, have been put on strike if no deal is reached by the July 3 deadline.
