Harry Kane delivers West Ham verdict as Tottenham consider Sunday’s clash

Harry Kane delivered his verdict on West Ham United as Tottenham prepare to face their London rivals on Sunday – after the England captain scored again in Wednesday night’s 2-0 win in front of Brighton.

Kane, 28, has brought his tally to 22 this season in all competitions – and his fifth in the Premier League in four as Spurs beat Brighton 2-0 on the south coast. Cristian Romero got his first goal in the 37th minute, before Kane’s goal.

Another example of Tottenham’s consistency, in that they performed brilliantly against Graham Potter’s side – following their defeat to Manchester United at the weekend. But their hopes of being in the top 4 are still alive, after Arsenal lost.

Tottenham’s focus immediately turns to Sunday’s London derby against the Hammers in a game Antonio Conte’s men will have to win to keep their top four hopes alive. Kane delivers his verdict on the Hammers.

“West Ham are right in the top four chase, it’s going to be a really tough game and that’s really important to the momentum going into the international break,” Kane said after the 2- 0, according to BBC Live.

After the defeat against Manchester United, they have dropped in form. But United themselves remain inconsistent, and their confidence will dwindle following their defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

They face a tough test against Leicester on Saturday night, while Liverpool won 2-0 at the Emirates on Wednesday night. Spurs are currently only 3 points behind fourth-placed Arsenal. There is still hope.

But to maintain that hope, Conte, Kane et al. must beat West Ham at home to continue to score. They will benefit from West Ham facing Sevilla in the Europa League on Thursday night.
