Actress Hayden Panettiere has been open about giving up custody of her daughter.
In an upcoming episode of Red Table Talk from Facebook Watch Joining forces with Jada Pickett Smith, Adrienne Banfield-Norris and guest presenter Kelly Osbourne, Panettiere spoke about the “very disturbing” time she was forced to hand custody of her only child, Kaya, to her father, Wladmir Klitschko, whom she Splits from 2018.
She claimed that initially there was no agreement “because there was no discussion”.
“If he had come up to me and said, ‘You know, I think based on your current situation and the struggles you’re going through, it would be good for her to be here with me for a while.’ To which, if I had had enough of talking, I probably would have been like, ‘Okay, that makes sense, I see, I’m coming over there to visit’ and stuff like that,” she said in a clip she exclusively shared persons.

Panettiere explained that the papers were meant to give Klitschko full custody and that signing “because of the way it was done” was “the most heartbreaking” thing she’s ever had to do in her life
“I wanted to work on myself and I got better and when I got better things could change and she could come over and I could spend my time with her but that didn’t happen,” she shared.
In July, Panettiere openly agreed “Good Morning America” about turning to the “bottom of a bottle” for support after the birth of her daughter in 2014.
She also announced that she was seeking treatment and is now sober from alcoholism.
“I’m good, it’s an everyday struggle, it really is. I’m grateful to say I’m sober today,” she said.
