HBO Cancels Perry Mason After Two Seasons – The Hollywood Reporter

HBO has made an unfavorable verdict PerryMason.

The drama, starring Matthew Rhys in the title character, was canceled after two seasons. A re-imagining of the classic 1950s and 1960s courtroom show, the series is produced by Robert Downey Jr.’s Team Downey.

“We are immensely grateful for the remarkable work of Matthew Rhys and the unsurpassed cast and crew of PerryMason for reimagining a franchise so cherished and steeped in history,” HBO said in a statement. “While we will not be pushing another season of the series, we look forward to continuing to work with the brilliant creative minds at Team Downey on future projects.”

There’s more to come.
