Here’s how to vote for the top 20 American Idol contestants of 2022

The top 20 contestants from ABC’s “American Idol” season 20 will appear on Sunday, April 17, 2022 in a three-hour special for Viewers’ Voices.

According to the episode description, the top 24 contestants returned to Hollywood during the episode to see who made it to the next round. Then, “all 20 remaining contestants will appear in front of superstar judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, and viewers at home will vote again to determine who makes it to the next round.”

Viewers go through 10 candidates, and then the judges select four of the remaining candidates to proceed.

Here’s how to vote for the top 20 of American Idol season 20

According to the ABC website, there are several ways to vote. First you can vote online at AmericanIdol.com/vote where you choose your favorite candidate. You must create an account to vote online.

Voting begins each evening at 11pm ET/8pm PT and ends the next morning at 8am ET/5am PT.

The second way to vote is through the ABC app. Users there use their accounts to vote for their favorite artists.

The third and final way to vote is to text the number of your favorite candidate to “21523” during the voting window.

According to the website, you can vote 10 times for each remaining candidate per voting method. By voting all three ways, you can cast up to 30 votes for each of your favorite candidates.

If you use AmericanIdol.com/Vote to vote, you can change which candidates you want to vote for during the voting window.

Contestants who were in the top 24 but did not make the top 20 were Kenedi Anderson, who withdrew from the competition, Sir Blayke, Danielle Finn and Scarlet Ayliz.

Anderson was a front-runner and Platinum Ticket winner, who withdrew from the competition for “personal reasons” after the top 24 performances.

American Idol producer Freemantle Media issued a statement on the exit People.
