Nicolo Barella is keen to enjoy a long future at Inter Milan and fulfill the contract he signed in November, although Antonio Conte is seeking a reunion transfer at Tottenham Hotspur.

This is acc TuttoMercato WEB, who reports that the Italy international has made it clear he has no interest in leaving the San Siro early. The midfielder agreed a five-year extension with the Serie A side and intends to at least check the terms before considering a move.

Barella has a number of clubs on its doorstep ready to offer a new experience should the 25-year-old seek a change. Liverpool sounded out their situation last summer and asked the Nerazzurri about their terms. But the Anfield natives are just one of many Premier League clubs interested.

Tottenham boss Conte would also like to bring Barella to England after working with him at Inter Milan. However, the Nerazzurri are demanding €60m (£50.5m) to approve a deal for the 36-cap maestro’s early exit. Not that he seems interested in moving anytime soon.

Barella wants a long future at Inter Milan while Conte is eyeing a Tottenham reunion

Barella’s stance on leaving Inter Milan will be a blow to Conte as he looks to boost his Tottenham ranks in the transfer window. the Daily Mail had also named the Italian star as one of his first-ever Spurs targets in November after taking charge in north London.

His performances have since declined but one market remains for Barella in England. He has offered 10 assists and two goals in 27 Serie A games. But of his assists, just four have come over two games since the Daily Mail put Barella on Conte’s Tottenham transfer wish list.

Barella also missed an Italian top-flight game through suspension in December after five yellow cards. He also missed Inter Milan’s last 16 Champions League encounters with Liverpool after receiving a red card at Real Madrid in the group stage. Much to Jurgen Klopp’s relief.

“Barella can’t play, it’s not bad for us,” said Klopp. “He’s a really good player. I like him very much. He has everything you could want in a midfielder. He’s aggressive, technical and he can run forever. All those things, so that’s a top-notch player.”
