Jack Suwinski and Ke’Bryan Hayes met Monday to help Pittsburgh Pirates down the visit Milwaukee Brewers 4-2
Andrew McCutchen added an RBI double pirates (64-74), who have won six of their last seven games.

Milwaukee starter Corbin Burnes (9-8) gave up four runs and seven hits in six innings, with seven strikeouts and no walks. He has not recorded a win since July 20 and has gone 0-3 in eight starts in the meantime.

The brewer survived both runs before getting a hit. In the second inning, Sal Frelick and Willy Adames walked and Mark Canha was hit by a pitch to occupy bases with no outs. Frelick scored on Caratini’s flyout to the right while Adames took third. Adames scored on Turang’s flyout to the left for a 2-0 lead.
Pittsburgh equalized in the fourth round. McCutchen started with a double off the left wall – just missing his 300th home run of his career – and landed on Connor Joe’s flyout to the right in third place. Suwinski hit the middle with his 23rd home run to make it 2-2.
With two outs and nobody in the fifth, Hayes hit his twelfth home run to left center to set the hit pirates a 3-2 lead.
Next came Bryan Reynolds and doubled to the right. McCutchen, the designated hitter, appeared to flex his left ankle on a swing but stayed in after using a hitter’s time-out. He then doubled the ball to the left to pass Reynolds and put the ball 4-2 without obviously having trouble getting the ball out.
But after Joe flew to center to finish the inning, McCutchen ran to the dugout with his left leg and needed help. Josh Palacios scored for McCutchen in the eighth.
