How many episodes does Moon Knight have? Release schedule explained

After the festive fun of hawk eye As the holiday season approaches, Marvel fans have been eagerly awaiting the first MCU TV series of 2022.

Finally this series should finally appear in the form of Moon Knight, which will probably follow WandaVision and Loki in being a dazzling mystery.

But when exactly is Moon Knight’s release time on Disney+, and what can fans expect from the upcoming episodes?

Moon Knight Release Date and Storyline Preview

Moon Knight jumps to Disney+ on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

The stunning series, starring Oscar Isaac, tells the story of Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift shop employee.

However, it doesn’t take long for Steven’s routine life to be turned upside down when he discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares his body with someone else, an all-action mercenary named Marc Spector.

While Steven may lead an innocent life, Marc has made his fair share of enemies, and when they begin reporting on Steven/Marc, the two personalities must navigate their complex dynamic and unravel a deadly mystery that unites the gods of Egypt and particularly vengeful concerns deity.

How many episodes does Moon Knight have?

Moon Knight will consist of six episodes in total.

Seasoned Marvel fans will note that the episode length mirrors several of the other MCU TV shows, including The Falcon and Loki the Winter Soldier and hawk eye which contained all six episodes.

Other similarities between Moon Knight and its Marvel TV siblings is that each episode is expected to run between 40 and 50 minutes, while one new episode will be released weekly, as opposed to all six chapters being released simultaneously.

This means that after Episode 1’s release on March 30th, a new episode will be released every week until the sixth and final chapter comes out on May 4th.

Will the series return in Season 2?

Ahead of the show’s release, Moon Knight season 2 seems unlikely as the Disney+ series is currently billed as a limited miniseries.

This would mean that Moon Knight’s story is only told for one season before ending.

However, that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing Oscar Isaac’s character again, as Kevin Feige has hinted IGNthat plans were discussed to continue Moon Knight and other shows for multiple seasons.

“We’re about to start filming on some of the shows I mentioned [including Moon Knight]we’re thinking of a structure that would lead more directly into a second and third season than, say, a show like WandaVision,” the producer said.
