Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royale games out there – but have you ever wondered how many people are playing Apex Legends in 2021? Now available on almost every platform as well as with cross-play, the player base continues to grow.
Despite Respawn’s timid expectations, Apex Legends hit 1 million players within its first 24 hours of release, back on February 4, 2019.
Then by the end of the first week, it was hit 25 million players and then 50 million in the first month. This is an amazing feat for a game that came out of nowhere, with no pre-release marketing.
Referring to the release of Apex Legends as “Beyoncé’s tears”, Respawn’s battle royale was released without any prior heavy marketing. They also use Twitch streamers and YouTube users to promote the game, instead of traditional media.
But, almost three years on, how many people play Apex Legends now?

During their February 2021 monthly earnings call, EA said that Apex Legends has 30% growth in new players annual.
And, Apex Legends is sure to get another big boost in player count in 2022, thanks to the plan. mobile launch.
For live player counts, the only platform to reveal exact stats is Steam, accessible through their API. Apex Legends launched on Steam in November 2020, and the player count has steadily increased since then. It hit a new high at the launch of Season 9, with a peak of 330,879 players (on Steam), closely followed by 330,476 for Season 10.
Average concurrent players (the number of online players at any given time) for December 2021 on Steam alone is more than 122,000, but the peak is still August 2021, reaching just 170,000 people.
So we know that Apex Legends currently has a total of 100 million players, which is a huge number and the game is still growing healthy. With Season 12 is coming, we can expect these numbers to grow exponentially.
If Respawn or EA reveals any new official numbers, we’ll keep you updated.
