How much did Hulu pay the Kardashians for their new reality show?

The Kardashians’ highly anticipated new reality series finally arrives next week on Disney’s Hulu subscription service.

The family made the decision to end their old show Keeping up with the Kardashians after 20 seasons in 2021 before signing a new deal with Hulu.

It’s rawer than ever, taking fans behind the scenes of the lives of Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie and Kris.

As reported by meetingThe show’s official description reads, “Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie bring back the cameras to reveal the truth behind the headlines.”

“From the intense pressures of running a billion-dollar business to the hilarious joys of playtime and high school dropouts, this series puts viewers in the spotlight with an honest story about love and life,” it continues.

Here’s how much the Kardashians were paid

Ahead of their new show, the Kardashians did a cover shoot and accompanying interview for diversity March.

In the interview, Variety revealed that insiders say her paycheck for the reality show is “worth nine figures.”

That means they’re getting paid at least $100 million combined for the new Hulu show.

Khloé told Variety that all family members earn the same amount, saying, “We’re all the same.”

Khloé continued to speak to Variety about the financial terms of the deal, saying, “It definitely played a part because we devote so much of our personal life to entertainment.”

“We’re always having our private family talks, and we’re pretty brutal, me and my sisters, with what we settle for or don’t settle for. But not all money is good money. It has to be a good fit, and Hulu was just a perfect fit for us,” she continued.

Dana Walden, the entertainment chair at Walt Disney Television, also told Variety that they “well deserved” the high salary:

“We have set ourselves a lot of goals, which they very much deserve. Who would you want more for your blank slate than the Kardashians? They perfectly symbolize our strategy of making big but right shots and capitalizing on incredible talent and world-class opportunities in every genre.”

How to see the Kardashians

For US viewers, the first episode of the new show will air Thursday, April 14 on Hulu.

The family hasn’t revealed if the entire season will be available at once or if episodes will air weekly.

Hulu isn’t available in the UK, however The Kardashians Also coming to Disney+ on April 14th.

This means there was no lag for international viewers as with Keeping up with the Kardashians.
