Fight through three stages

To defeat the Dreadnought Hiveguard, you need to fight through three stages. These are as follows.

• State 1: Intrusion ability
• Phase 2: Shoot the shields
• Stage 3: Damage stage

State 1

During the fight, the Dreadnought Hiveguard will move regularly through these three stages, allowing you to deal continuous damage. The first stage is the stage where you can’t deal damage to the boss. No matter how many bullets and explosives you throw at it, its health will not change. Smaller enemies, Glyphid Sentinels, will spawn around the area during this phase. You need to kill all these smaller bugs before moving on to the next stage of the fight.

Phase 2

The second phase of the fight sees the shell of the Dreadnought Hiveguard open in three places. This reveals areas of pink flesh on its body that you need to shoot to reduce the three yellow health bars to appear. Two of these fleshy areas are located on the creature’s legs, and one is on its head on its back. You’ll eventually be able to do some damage to it once you’ve destroyed all of these areas.

Stage 3

During the final stages of the fight, the Dreadnought Hiveguard’s belly opens, revealing a giant pink fleshy area that you can shoot to deal damage. This is the only phase of teamfights where you can damage the enemy’s health, so calculate.
