Unlike other fragrances, colognes are unisex. By using colognes, you will feel confident and well put together. EDC has more concentration of alcohol than other perfumes so it can cause dry skin. It can last up to two hours and is also inexpensive.
- Eau De Toilette (EDT):
This perfume category has a concentration of essential oil or perfume extract of about 5 to 15%. It is usually present in spray bottles and usually lasts for about three hours. The term “eau de toilette” was derived from the French phrase “Faire Sa Toilette” which means “getting ready”.
EDT is perfect for the summer season. This perfume category is cheaper than Eau de Parfum. You have to apply this perfume after a couple of hours, which can lead to many health-related issues. It tends to dissipate quickly because of the low combination of essential oils and greater concentration of alcohol.

- Eau Fraiche:
It is the most diluted type of perfume, having 1 to 3% perfume oils present in alcohol and water. The main part is water, as the term “Eau Fraiche” means “Freshwater”. Eau Fraiche is light and airy and we use it as a way to freshen up. It can last up to an hour.
It is much cheaper than other fragrances and best for sensitive and dry skin because it contains mostly water and a little amount of alcohol and oils. It is the best option if you have allergies and skin problems. The main drawback is that you have to use it after every hour because it won’t last as long. It is not the best option for night functions such as dates.
- Perfume Or Parfum:
Parfum is a French variant and a more sophisticated way of saying perfume. This type has the highest concentration of fragrances, which is 20 to 30%. It has more essential oils and less alcohol. It can last up to 12+ hours and is better than other options.
Perfume is most expensive than other options. It can enhance your mood, keeping you smelling good all day.
