The Carian Study Hall is one of the dungeons players can find in Elden Ring’s Liurnia of the Lake territory. While it’s not too hard to find, unlocking it is a different story. Players must both unlock and reverse the area to properly traverse the area.
How to unlock the Karian study hall
To unlock the Carian Study Hall, players must defeat Rennala of the Full Moon in Raya Lucaria Academy. Once players defeat her, they can find the empty altar just behind the wizard. This altar requires a specific item to reverse the Karian Study Hall.

How to reverse the Karian study hall
Players will need the Carian Inverted Statue to place on this altar. This flips the study hall. In order to obtain this statue, players must complete a quest of sorts. This quest doesn’t have a name as it’s more of an errand than anything else.
Head to the city of Nokron and acquire the Finger Slayer Blade. Then return to Ranni. They gift the player the Carian Inverted Statue. Players can also choose to complete Ranni’s Quest if they wish, but obtaining the inverted statue is not necessary. Bring the statue to the altar and place it there to reverse the Karian study hall and properly roam the area.
