How to get a 40% experience boost in WoW this week
We’re in the second week of the five-week Turbulent Timeways timewalking event, which offers a great opportunity to get some serious experience boosts while leveling Alts. But this week the event coincides with another long-standing holiday: the Darkmoon Faire. Here’s how to combine these two options for a 40% experience boost!
Take advantage of the Darkmoon Faire and turbulent time paths for a huge XP boost
During the Turbulent Timeways event, completing a Timewalking dungeon (via the Party Finder) will earn you a stack of Knowledge about time paths, which grants a 5% experience bonus. Completing four dungeons increases this buff to Mastery of time paths, for a total experience bonus of 30%. Just for the extra 10% Hop on the carousel at the Darkmoon Faire and leave that WHEE! The buff can stack up to its full one-hour duration. The carousel location can be found on the map below.
If you’re not sure how to get to the Darkmoon Faire, simply speak to one of the representatives in your capital city (Orgrimmar for the Horde or Stormwind for the Alliance) to be directed to the staging area for a small fee (a whopping 25 copper). to teleport).
“Mastering the Time Paths” is 3 hours long and WHEE! takes 1, so make sure you do the following:
- Complete at least 1 Timewalking dungeon every 3 hours
- Ride the Darkmoon Faire Carousel every hour
The quickest way to level up will probably be by spamming Timewalking dungeons in any case, so all you really need to do is settle in at the fair. Remember to buy tickets from the seller right in front of the carousel entrance!
The Darkmoon Fair lasts until October 7th, giving you a few more days to benefit from the additional experience this grants. I plan on taking the opportunity to level up an alternative or two, but be sure to check out our legacy gear guide if you want them to be end-game ready!
