How to get a pet in Grounded

If you want to have a pet in Grounded, you must tame either a weevil or an aphid. However, before you can tame any of the creatures, you must first craft a few items.

The first item you will need is a grinder, as you will need it to make a special food called porridge to tame creatures. However, you can craft a grinder with the following in-game materials.

  • Five Bombardier parts
  • Three petals
  • Two acorn shells
  • Two feathers

You can get the first material on the Bombardier Beetle list by killing them with a bug axe, and you can also find these beetles in both the grasslands and the flooded zone.

For the petals, you need to collect them in a flower bed biome. Be careful in this biome, however, as it is guarded by countless spiders called Orb Weavers.

To find the acorns you need to craft the mill; You need to find Acrons in either the Oak Hill or Grassland biomes. Once you’ve found some Acorn Shells, you’ll find the final material, Feathers, in the backyard around crow perches and in the general area.

Once you’ve found all of the resources, you can create Manure by adding either Mushrooms, Plant Fiber, or Toadstools to the Mill.

You can then use the manure to tame either a weevil or an aphid, but you must build a pet house before you can tame either creature. Apart from that, you can build a pet house with the following materials.

  • Two Weed Stem – You can get this by chopping dandelions.
  • Two crow feathers
  • Four Mushroom Bricks – You can make this with Mushroom Mash by placing the mush in an oven.
  • An Acron Shell

After the pet house is built and you have manure, you can tame both weevils and aphids by feeding them manure until they are tamed.
