Name cards are decorative background images that you can use to spice up your profile. You can set your name card in the main menu and it will appear every time you view your profile and whenever friends see you in their friends menu. While namecards don’t affect gameplay in any way, you might want one that suits your mood or represents your favorite character.
How to get calling cards in Genshin Impact
Each character has a name card tailored to their quirks. You will unlock it automatically by reaching it Friendship level 10 with the appropriate sign. With that in mind, you can’t get name cards from characters you don’t have.
Some easy ways to improve friendship are:
- Complete repeatable daily quests like Animal Friend and Guardian of Konda.
- Play with the character on your team to get Companion EXP from daily missions, quests, and other events
- Place the character in the Serenitea pot and claim Trust rewards from Tubby
If you complete all the achievements in some series, you will be rewarded with a name card. Go to the Achievements menu to check your progress.

You can get Namecards by reaching level milestones in some offering trees of Genshin Impact and other instances with similar mechanics. These include:
- Frostbearing Tree in Dragonspine— Reach level 9 for a name card
- Sacred Sakura in the Great Narukami Shrine— Reach level 48 for a name card
- Lumenstein tool in The Chasm Underground Mine— Reach level 10 for a name card
Reaching reputation milestones in towns around Teyvat grants you many great rewards, including name cards. You can get two namecards below Level 4 and 7 in Monstadt, Liyue and Inazuma.
Some events offer limited namecard rewards that can only be claimed during the event period. It is currently unknown if Genshin Impact has any plans to include legacy namecards in the event replay reward lineup. For example, the Hyakunin Ikki event only rewarded players with the Celebration: Ikki Namecard during its first run, while the second run featured a different set of rewards.
Exclusive Travel Notes name cards can be purchased by purchasing the Battle Pass Gnostic Choir Upgrade for $20. The name card will be sent to you immediately after purchase, along with other rewards (except for the weapon). The Gnostic Chorus is updated every six weeks and adapts to each Genshin Impact update. There was no case where a namecard was re-executed.
