How to get Frost Beets at the Fairy Farm

In this guide for Fairy Farm We tell you what you need to do to harvest frost beets.
Once you’ve cleared the floating ruins and brought the elf village back to life, you’ll be given the “Fae Farming” side quest, which is designed to teach you the basics of the more advanced harvesting mechanics in Fae Farm by asking you to harvest 4 Frost Turnips. More importantly, you need to give Grell 5 Frost Turnips so that you can complete the story quest “A Frozen Friend”. However, the process is not as simple as placing a seed in the soil and waiting for it to grow. You need to take a few extra steps to complete the task.
You can grow Frost Beets on your homestead, but we recommend doing so on Fae Acres instead. To grow them outside of Fae Acres, you will need to plant them in Fae Earthbeds, which require 1 Shadow Jelly, 1 Flutterwood Log, and 1 Spriggan Leaf to craft. In Fae Acres you can plant them in regular soil beds, which require 1 Silt, 1 Sand and 1 Beech Log, all of which are a bit easier and quicker to collect in larger quantities.
Next, you’ll need to purchase some beet seeds to plant in. These cost 5 Florins each and can be purchased at Holly’s Seed Shop in the City Center or Asphodel’s Crop Shop in the Elf Village after clearing the Floating Ruins.
Once you’ve planted your turnip seeds, you’ll need to treat them with Magic Crop Swap fertilizer to turn them into frost turnips. You can buy this from either Holly or Asphodel for 50 florins each if you buy the turnip seeds at the same time, or you can make it yourself at a garden bench using 1 Mulch, 1 Frog Sweat and 1 Ammonite.
After you’ve done this, all you have to do is wait for your plants to grow. Before harvesting, you’ll know whether you’ve been successful or not because the sprouts will turn blue, indicating a transition from beet to frost beet. This isn’t always successful, but if you end up harvesting a turnip, you can turn it back into turnip seeds at your garden bench, so you don’t have to keep buying extra seeds.
