How to get inky blue dye in Final Fantasy XIV

There are literally hundreds of dyes in Final Fantasy XIV that you can use to customize your character. One of the most popular lately, due to its almost jet black appearance, is the ink blue dye. How to get it:

The Inky Dye is a common dye available from a number of vendors across Eorzea and beyond. calculation 216 Gil, it’s pretty affordable too. It’s also sold on the marketplace for a reasonable amount for perhaps lazier WoL who don’t want to search for it. However, it’s definitely not worth selling it back to NPCs. Resold to an NPC, it will only be sold for a gil.

You can purchase the inky blue dye from the following NPC vendors:

• unsyncrael – Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X: 6.0, Y: 12.3)
• Alaric – Ancient Gridania (X: 14.3, Y: 8.8)
• Naabe – Ul’dah – Tiers of Dale (X: 14.2, Y: 11.0)
• Eilonwy – The Firmament (X: 12.2, Y: 14.2)
• Frien – The Pillars (X: 6.0, Y: 9.9)
• tokohana – Kugans (X: 12.9, Y: 12.2)

Ink Blue Dye is incredibly useful and versatile as it delivers an almost pitch black color that is better than Soot Black Dye. It’s also a lot cheaper than Jet Black Dye, which is a cash shop item, and delivers a similarly dark and brooding look for a far cheaper 216 gil.

All in all, if you’re looking for a black dye, skip Soot Black and Jet Black and get this ink blue and enjoy your character’s looks!
