How to get the Finishing Touch achievement in Genshin Impact

The final touch is a Genshin Impact Challenger: Series IV achievement that you can unlock by defeating Azhdaha without gaining a shield. While this sounds pretty easy at first, Azhdaha can create Crystallization Shards, making it difficult to avoid a shield. We’ll show you a few tips and tricks on how to get this achievement in one go.

How to defeat Azhdaha without ever gaining a shield in Genshin Impact

Azhdaha is the weekly boss in the Beneath the Dragon swell domain south of Mt. Hulao. He starts out as a geo element, but switches between two other elements during combat. Refer to the items posted on his front door for what he will transform into for the week.

It’s important to know Azhdaha can generate crystallization shards, which grants you a shield when picked up. Since they are difficult to spot, you can accidentally pick them up in battle, making it impossible to get the achievement.

With that in mind, consider these tips to help you defeat Azhdaha completely shieldless:

• Don’t bring characters that can form shields, even with their talents or constellations.
• Do not bring a Geo character to prevent creating your own crystallization shards.
• Bring a healer since you continuously take damage when Azhdaha transforms into another element.
• We recommend bringing one with you Archer for your main DPS This allows you to sniff from afar, making it impossible for you to accidentally pick up a crystallization shard.
