How to make a poll in a discord server

Discord is a vast social platform where people from different communities can meet each other. It is mainly used by Gamers because it is easy to use and compatible with Games but it is not specific to Games. Anyone can choose and use Discord as it is highly customizable to the needs of the user. A feature that is used frequently and present on many Social Platforms is the ability to create Poll. Now, by default, you can’t do a Poll in Discord, but you can. In today’s tutorial, I will show you how to do a poll on a Discord server.

How to take a poll on discord

Before we can start creating them, we will have to understand what a Poll in Discord Server is. Unlike other chat apps, Polls is not a built-in feature of Discord. So we will use React as our poll execution method. There are several ways you can do a Poll in Discord.

Poll channel in one server

In your Discord Server you can create Text channel will be for Polls only. Here only you or your Mods/Admins have permission to create Polls. First, create a new Text Channel. In that Text Channel, put permission belong to Send Message & More reactions arrive Wrong. This will control any pranks in the Channel. Set this for all Roles that will participate in your Discord Server Poll. Now, just write a message and add some Reaction as shown in the image above. That’s how you can do a poll in discord.

You can also use Webhooks to make your Polls look better but it will take more work. Since you are the one taking the Poll, your appearance and aesthetics are both under your control.

Opinion poll

Another way to turn them into Discord is to use Bots. There are many Bots you can find and use like EasyPoll, Simple poll, etc. All you have to do is invite these bots to your Discord Server and grant them the appropriate Permissions. Once that is set up, you will just need to enter the corresponding command and the Bot will do a Poll very easily.
