Respawn’s official blog mentioned some of the things players can expect in the next season, and the big highlight revolves around the addition of TDM and the removal of arenas. When is TDM coming to Apex Legends?

Team Deathmatch is coming to Apex Legends on February 14, 2023 in Season 16. This game mode will be available for the first three weeks of the season. The rules for this game mode have yet to be announced, but players can expect the traditional TDM format with different maps and locations. Typically, Team Deathmatches pit two teams against each other, with players respawning after being eliminated. Of course, choosing characters that go well with other legends is the key to success in this new game mode. Players can access this game mode from the game selection tab in the lobby.

Will arenas be removed in Apex Legends Season 16?

Unfortunately yes, the developers have decided to pause arenas and they will be removed from Apex Legends game modes in Season 16. Arenas were added to the game back in Season 9 and it became very popular at that time. However, the current state of arenas does not match the developers’ goals and will therefore be replaced in Season 16. While there’s no official news regarding a later return of arenas, players can look forward to the new Persistent Modes playlist Mixtape in the upcoming season.

What is the mixtape in Apex Legends?

Mixtape will be a permanent playlist releasing on March 7, 2023 in Season 16 of Apex Legends. This is designed for players to master the combat system in Apex Legends by trying different game modes. Mixtape will include Team Deathmatch, Gun Run and Control at launch. The developers also mentioned that new game modes will eventually be added to the mixtape.
