How to post on Instagram from PC

Got some photos on your PC that you really want to upload to Instagram? You can easily do so without having to transfer them to your phone. Here’s how to do it.
While social media apps like TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter have become a great way to pass the time using your phone, they also have actual website counterparts that can be browsed through. .
If you don’t use your phone and want to kill some time, you can flip through Instagram Reels and TikTok ‘For You Page’ with a few clicks of your keyboard, the same way you would when swiping with your phone.
With Instagram’s desktop page, users previously could only browse before the giant social media platform allowed direct messages to be sent and read. These days, you can even post photos from your PC, and it’s actually pretty easy.

If you already have a really nice photo or set of photos stored on your PC, you don’t need to transfer them to your phone and worry about them losing quality by posting them that way.
Instead, you just need to log into the desktop Instagram page and then use the create post option – the square icon with the plus sign in the middle. From there, it should look a bit like how you would make a post with your phone.
Just select the photos or photos that you want to center your post and allow time to upload them to the website. From there, you’ll be able to add any filters you want, label your location, and caption your post before you send it out to be shared with your followers.
How to post photos on Instagram from PC
- Towards Instagram.com and log into the account you want to post
- Once logged in, click the create post icon
- Select the photo/photo you want to post
- Wait for them to upload to the website
- Tap the ‘next’ option to start cutting, adding filters, stickers and more
- When you are satisfied, press ‘next’ again until you reach the option to add a caption
- Tag your friends, comment and post!

You will be prompted to upload your photo and then you will have to add filters, stickers, etc.
Posts made from the desktop Instagram page will appear as normal in your feed – you won’t get any special badges or anything like that to set it apart your regular posts.
However, you’ll want to make sure size of the picture match the type of post you want to create, otherwise it might look a bit interesting compared to others. However, that’s pretty easy to sort out. So happy posting!
