How to recalibrate ADS guns in Dead Space Remake

Dead Space Remake begins at the beginning of the visceral Dead Space franchise at the place where it all began, aboard the planet cracker ship USG Ishimura, where the first known Necromorph outbreak originally began. This remake of a horror classic retains the feel and charm of what made the original Dead Space such a hit, but alongside the graphical polish, a few differences have been introduced that set it apart from the rest. Certain levels and missions are different this time, such as the process of recalibrating the ADS cannons in Chapter 4 – Annihilation Ahead.

Recalibrating the ADS cannons in Dead Space Remake Chapter 4

Unlike the original Dead Space, where you had to play a simple mini-game to shoot down the incoming asteroids with a stationary turret, Dead Space Remake requires you to exit the ship’s interior and manually recalibrate the ADS cannons. There are three ADS cannons in total. This is a timed mission and the hull damage meter will drop as soon as you start it. Once it reaches zero, it’s game over.

This mission is in a vacuum and zero gravity, but it’s pretty linear. Once you exit the airlock, the first ADS cannon is on your left. Unbuckle your magnetic boots and approach the yellow board. Activate it and start marking the flying asteroids.

• Unbuckle your magnetic boots and approach the yellow board.

• Aim the cannon as if you were aiming your own gun by pressing either L2 button on PS5 right click the mouse on your PC.
• To shoot the cannon, press E on the PC or X on PS5.
• With this method you have to destroy around ten asteroids to successfully calibrate the ADS gun.

When you’re done calibrating the first ADS cannon, go straight ahead, the second ADS cannon bay is on your right. Repeat the process. The third and final ADS cannon bay is on the left. You will also find the Level 3 rig scheme near the panel, so keep an eye out for it. Be careful as the Necromorph Lurker will occasionally appear between the cannon plates and shoot at you. On the left and right of the corridor are O2 resupply stations. Use them when you run out of oxygen.
