How to solve the Merlin Trial using symbol dice in Hogwarts Legacy

Merlin Trials are some of the most important puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy. Not only are they fairly easy to solve, but completing them will grant you additional storage slots for your gears as part of the challenge rewards. These puzzles use a wide range of spells, and some can be trickier than others. A great example of one of the tougher Merlin Trials is the one with the square blocks of stone engraved with symbols. If you run out of spells when trying to figure out how to solve it, don’t worry – in this guide we will tell you how to solve the Merlin process using the dice with symbols.

How to solve the Merlin Trial from Symbol Cubes in Hogwarts Legacy

To solve the Merlin Trial puzzle with the symbol cubeyou have to throw flipendo on the rock that sits on top. This turns the stone over, revealing another symbol. The idea is to perfectly align the symbol cube at the top with the one it’s resting on. Also remember that the cube at the top can be flipped in any direction depending on which side of the stone you are flipendoing from.

The quickest way to solve the puzzle is to first use Flipendo to rotate the cube so that it matches the symbol on the bottom, regardless of orientation. Then move to the side of the cube and cast Flipendo to flip it and align it with the orientation of the symbol below. Once each pillar is complete, tendrils will grow around it to indicate its completion. There are a total of three symbol cube columns around the Merlin Trial for you to solve.
