In Vampire Survivors there are dozens of characters with unique stats and starting weapons. Giovanna Grana, a new character, was added in April. 12 update, is a unique witch-like character with a cat as a weapon. How to unlock them:
To unlock Giovanna Grana, start a run with any character on the Inlaid library. head east (To the right) until you discover a coffin. Giovanna Grana lies in the coffin.

Before you can unlock them, however, you must defeat all of the flying skeleton minions that spawn. Beware as these have an impressive health pool and can take some time to kill. So make sure you’ve unlocked a few levels before heading to the coffin.
Once unlocked, you can purchase Giovanna from the character select screen. Your starting weapon is the Gatti Amaria summoned cat that darts across the screen, maybe attacking enemies and sometimes attacking the player too!
Alongside an unreliable cat companion, Giovanna Grana gains +1% projectile speed per level with no cap. This makes it incredibly easy to combine with Runetracer, Bone, and Dagger weapons. She also has +20% movement speed, probably due to the broom she rides!
