Samsung’s flagship foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, is great for content consumption thanks to its larger screen, but the phone just seems to have lost a major service. Some Galaxy Z Fold 3 owners are finding that Hulu appears to have pulled support for the device.
Hulu for Android appears to have removed support for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 through the Play Store, resulting in the app no longer appearing in search results in the store. The list, if the app hasn’t been opened recently, indicates that the app is completely disabled, but it doesn’t appear to be actually shutting down the app.
However, a notice on the Play Store listing for Hulu makes it clear that something has changed. The red message says “this app is no longer compatible with your device”, asking the user to contact the developer for more information. We observed the change on our Galaxy Z Fold 3 and friend of the site Max Weinbach tweeted regarding the same behavior on his device.
Notably, it seems that this change is not visible to all owners of the Fold 3, with at least person can’t seem to see the notification on their device.
This seems like a simple mistake, but it’s certainly frustrating for anyone new to the Fold 3, as Hulu simple isn’t available for download right now. We’ll update this article if Hulu resolves the issue.
