Don Hutchison has claimed Twitter That Tottenham star Harry Kane will outperform Liverpool and Manchester City’s new recruits Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland next season, following Paddy Pimblett’s comments.
The UFC star and Liverpool fan claimed he was “laughed at” but believes Nunez will “score more goals” than Haaland ahead of the new Premier League season.
It was exhilaration, tears and joy for lightweight star Pimblett on Saturday night as he subdued Jordan Leavitt in the second round of their UFC London bout.
Antonio Conte hopes his players can smother the opposition next season by retaining their Champions League spot and adding a trophy to their cabinet.
Goals must flow if they are to do that and Spurs have one of the world’s best forwards in the last third, Hutchison claimed after Pimblett’s comments.
17 Premier League goals in a half-cooked season
It’s pretty impressive considering Kane still scored 17 league goals in the 2021-22 season, when he barely appeared in the first half of the season.
That should be seen as a huge plus for Spurs fans, as combined with Heung-min Son’s Golden Boot, the duo are more than capable of going over 20 each.
If that’s the case, then those around them don’t need to hit double digits, but only step in with goals at moments when the record-breaking duo are injured, suspended or off work – and the latter won’t happen too often.
Tottenham’s attack has proven itself, it’s a matter of whether the squad can maintain the level and whether the defense is rigid and flawless enough to take them over that trophy and the Champions League line.
The FA Cup and league would be the club’s realistic goal as if they ended up winning the Premier League title or the European Cup it would be a real shock.
