Ian Wright really hopes a 22-year-old gets the right training from Arsenal

Speaking of Wrighty’s House PodcastIan Wright has spoken out about Nuno Tavares after his nightmarish display against Crystal Palace.
The Portuguese full-back had a torrid time against the Eagles this week and Mikel Arteta replaced him early this season against the London club.
Instead of criticizing Tavares, Wright expressed that he hopes the full-back will receive proper training as he believes he can be a fantastic player.

Wright spoke about Tavares.
“You look at someone like Tavares and you think you’re hoping he gets the coaching that he needs right now because we know he’s fantastic, he’s a fantastic player,” Wright said.
“I think he’s a player who could fit in the back three,” Wright’s co-host said.
“Yeah, because he’s very offensive and we didn’t get out against Palace and we have to resent not fighting with them,” Wright concluded.
Attributes are there
While Tavares has been overwhelmed at times this season, a fantastic footballer is developing there.
He’s fast, dynamic and forward-thinking, but as we can all see, his defensive discipline and positioning require a lot of work.
With the right coaching he could be a real asset to Arsenal but as Wright says he needs to be taught properly.
Luckily, Mikel Arteta is a good coach and shouldn’t have any trouble making up for Tavares’ mistakes.
