Immortals renames LCS with main team sponsorship

North American esports organization Immortals has received multi-year sponsorship from auto insurance company Progressive that includes naming rights.

Along new leadership and switch to Great Lakes Region in North America, the organization has entered a new era in its quest to become major players in the esports industry.

For the first time in the organization’s history, they obtained a sponsor granting Progressive auto insurers the right to advertise through the group name.

Exclusively in the Riot Games LCS, the premier League of Legends tournament in North America, the organization will now become ‘Immortals Progressive’ for an indefinite period of time. However, a statement confirmed that the deal lasted for many years.

Progressive will also serve as Immortals’ official insurance sponsor and has helped launch the organization’s new jersey, which is inspired by the Northern Lights and the Great Lakes region.

This isn’t the first naming rights deal to come to the LCS. Dignitas, one of 10 teams that collaborated in the competition, changed their team name to Dignitas QNTMPAY following funding from the digital bank of the same name in June 2021.

Same month as Dignitas QNTMPAY, TSM organization colleague in North America renamed TSM FTX as part of a 10-year grant program worth $210 million — arguably the largest deal to date in the field of e-sports — with crypto exchange FTX.

“We look forward to continuing our relationship with Immortals as the team’s LCS benefits sponsor,” said Progressive’s media business leader, Jay VanAntwerp.

“We are excited to partner with Immortals throughout the upcoming season to provide fans and members of the gaming community with exciting and engaging content from players as well as activities and unique opportunities. best to interact with the team.”
