SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — This year will see the first national election since for Democrats trying to defend a slim majority in Washington Ronald Reagan defeated Jimmy Carter 1980 where inflation will be a big problem.

Its importance is evident in the southern half of Scottsdale’s McCormick Ranch neighborhood in the Phoenix metro area, which has seen the biggest spike in U.S. inflation since President Biden took office. Nationwide, the inflation rate is 7.9%.
