The sudden death of Stephen “tWitch” Boss has left fans and celebrity friends in mourning.

On December 13, 2022, the beloved DJ and producer from Ellen DeGeneres’ longtime talk show was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel after an apparent suicide.

Boss, who was just 40, was married to former “Dancing With the Stars” pro Allison Holker. Fans had watched as the couple’s love story blossomed over the past decade.

Holker and Boss both came from dance backgrounds. According to TMZBoss rose to fame when he came second in the 2008 Fox dance competition So You Think You Can Dance. Two years later, he met fellow dancer Holker when they were both All-Stars on the show.

Holker 2012 said Dance Spirit that at first glance she thought Boss was “the cutest guy ever” and “his personality was so funny”. She also made “about 10 moves” on him, but said he didn’t get it at first. “I didn’t care at all. I’m really stubborn,” Boss joked in the interview.

According to peopleThings took a turn when the two danced together and sparks flew at the SYTYCD Season 7 wrap party. “We’ve been together ever since,” Boss said in February 2022.

Holker agreed that she knew right away that Boss was her soulmate, and after only three weeks of dating, she told him he was the “one.”

Holker and Boss were married on December 10, 2013 at So You Think You Can Dance co-creator Nigel Lythgoe’s San-Juliette Vineyard & Winery mansion in Paso Robles, California. according to Entertainment Weekly.

SYTYCD Former and friends Travis Wall, Kathryn McCormick, Courtney Galiano, William Wingfield, Joshua Allen and Comfort Fedoke were all at the wedding party, while American Idol alum Melinda Doolittle sang at the ceremony.

Boss and Holker also have three children together: Weslie, 14, who is Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship, and their children Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3, according to Us Weekly.

Boss appeared just a month before his death on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” with his wife when it came to expanding the family.

Admitting that she missed having a baby in the house, Holker teased, “I think we’d love to start trying for another one.” Boss agreed that for him and Holker, it’s been “a constant conversation.” ‘ is to have another child.

Boss and Holker were also known for their loving relationship. In October 2022 Holker to Ok Magazine that after The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended, she was glad to be able to spend more time with her husband.

“We’re together all day, every day, and we’re just living our best married life. I feel like we’re back in the honeymoon phase again!” she said. “People around us are like, ‘Oh my god, you guys are still in that love phase.’ We didn’t get out of everything!. … Not a day goes by that one of us does something for the other and we don’t say thank you for going the extra mile. We explore that a lot in our relationship.”

On December 10, 2022, Holker and Boss celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary. Both stars posted photos from their wedding day on Instagram. Holker titled a slideshow to say she is “grateful” for her marriage to Boss. “Saying yes to @sir_twitch_alot was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life!!” she wrote, adding that she would never take their love for granted.

Boss also posted photos of him and his wife dancing on their wedding day, with the caption“Happy anniversary my dear @allisonholker #9years.”

After Boss’s death, Holker issued a statement persons in which said her late husband always led with “love and light”.

“He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father and an inspiration to his fans,” added Holker. “Stephen we love you, we miss you and I will always save the last dance for you.”
