Is Dragon Ball: The Breakers cross-platform/cross-play?

Bandai Namco has done some great things with the Dragon Ball franchise over the past few years. From the hilarious open-world Kakarot to the wildly successful fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ, they’ve published some great games that deserve to be among the most successful animated series of all time. So when they announced the upcoming release of Dragon Ball: The Breakers, a lot of fans of the series had to celebrate.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a seven-on-one game similar to Dead by Daylight. Seven players control powerless characters from the world of Dragon Ball who are trying to avoid being destroyed by one of the main antagonists of the series, controlled by the other player. This is a big departure for games based on the series, with a heavy focus on powerful characters like Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo, and promises to at least be something new for fans. .

When Dragon Ball: The Breakers was announced, fans were curious if it would support cross-play as it would arrive on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox systems as well as PC. However, in a recent interview with Silicon Era, producer Ryosuke Hara was asked if the game will have cross-play or cross-save support. His answer does not leave much doubt on the matter.

According to Hara, “There are currently no plans to support cross-platform and cross saving.”

Cross-platform support for the game was difficult to roll out after launch, but it wasn’t an easy task during development either. Fans may have hoped for a different answer, as the game will be played entirely online, but it looks like Dragon Ball: The Breakers won’t have cross-play support at launch, and that doesn’t appear to be the case. is a priority for future team development.
