The Final Fantasy series has numerous titles, each creating a unique world, atmosphere, and gaming experience. Over the years, the Final Fantasy series has appeared on many consoles, although they have always been at home on Sony consoles, including Final Fantasy XVi. But that might leave you wondering if Final Fantasy XVI is coming to PC and Xbox.
Can you play Final Fantasy XVI on PC or Xbox?
The answer is no – at least not at startup. Final Fantasy XVI is a PlayStation exclusive for what seems to be 2023. Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida stated that six months after launch, there are no plans for a PC version of Final Fantasy XVI, which means We may see a PC port in 2024. Even worse is the news for Xbox players.

Currently there is no plans to bring Final Fantasy XVI to Xbox. This is further complicated by the ongoing dispute as Microsoft is in the process of acquiring Activision/Blizzard. With no Xbox port in sight, it also means Game Pass won’t get Final Fantasy XVI, even though other Final Fantasy titles are on the subscription service.
This likely means the only way to play the next Final Fantasy entry is to buy a PlayStation 5. Naoki Yoshida also encouraged fans to buy the Sony console if they want to play Final Fantasy XVI, further bolstering that it will remain a Sony exclusive for a long time at some point.
